Here's a checklist of changes:*
- GEPA is now NJ ASK8.
- More multiple-choice and open-ended questions overall:
- Language Arts - 36 multiple-choice, 6 open-ended, 2 writing prompts
- Math - 42 multiple-choice, 8-10 short constructed response, and 5 extended constructed-response items, including field test items
- Math - 50 raw score points excluding field test items
- Language Arts has shorter passages with more diverse content - 50% narrative/50% informational.
- Narrative passages are 500-1000 words in length (approximately 2-3 pages)
- Informational passages are 400-900 words in length (approximately 2 - 2.5 pages.
- New math short constructed response items require students to work out a problem on their own. Students do not need to explain their answer.
