    The California State Board of Education (SBE) is the governing and policy-determining body of the California Department of Education. This site has information on the K-12 education policies that they set for content standards, curriculum, adopted instructional materials and assessment and accountability.

    This is the CAHSEE main Web site. It includes updates, FAQs, exam dates, teacher and student study guides, released test questions, and more.

    This Web site lists California's K-12 content standards.

    This is California's homepage for the NCLB act of 2001, a "clearinghouse of information on California's ongoing implementation of NCLB."

    EdSource is an independent, impartial, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to clarify complex education issues and to promote thoughtful decisions about public school improvement in the state of California.
  • ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS
    As the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 has accountability as its key component, each state is required to develop and implement a statewide accountability system that will ensure that all schools and districts make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined by NCLB. All students in all schools in California will be required to perform at or above the proficient level in English-Language Arts and Mathematics by 2014. This site contains annual progress reports by county, district, and school, as well as other updates and information.

    This site presents academic, demographic, and fiscal profiles for all schools and districts receiving Title I funds.
  • EDUCATION DATA PARTNERSHIP
    The Ed-Data Web site recently made available an exciting new tool for making financial comparisons among California's school districts. Compare districts' federal, state, and local income or find out how districts spend their funds per student in comparison to others. You can compare one district to all the districts in the county or to other districts statewide.
  • CHARTER SCHOOLS HOME PAGE
    This is the home page for California's charter schools. It includes information about funding and grants, as well as assessment issues and contact information.
  • CDE DATAQUEST
    This is a massive search engine that provides a wealth of information such as enrollment, test results, AYP, API, etc. on state, county, district, or school levels.
  • CALIFORNIA SCHOOL DIRECTORY
    This is the CDE's directory where you can search by county for district and school information. This directory provides key personnel (principal for schools, superintendents for districts), contact information and a link to that specific institution's Dataquest report.
  • CAHSEE INTERNET REPORTS
    This is the CDE's menu page for obtaining CAHSEE scores on the county, district or school level.
